Join us for an intergenerational mission experience "in our own backyard." We will begin each morning around 8:30AM and finish up around 3:30PM. Our time together will involve both educational and hands-on experiences, with group reflection each day.
We will begin our week participating in a “household survival simulation” at United Way to deepen our understanding of the challenges facing many of our neighbors. Our hands-on experiences will take place at Dorothy Day Soup Kitchen, HOPE of Rock Hill, OBC Ministry Center, Pathways, and more!
This mission experience is open to people of all ages, however anyone under the age of 12 needs to have an adult present with them. There is no cost other than lunch each day, but we do need you to sign up if you plan to participate!
Though you will get to sleep in your own bed each night, please treat this like an out-of-town experience and plan to participate in the entire week. If you have any questions, please email Leigh (lreynolds@oaklandchurch.com)
